Stacey S. Schieffelin, after twenty years of professional modeling, has made an effective transition from the bright lights of the runway to the founding and running of a dynamic industry leading, international cosmetic business.

It's called Models Prefer, Ltd.: a company creating innovative beauty products that deliver maximum results with minimal effort at an affordable price. Using television and the Internet as primary channels of distribution, Stacey enthusiastically communicates the company's focus: "We combine high quality product, real world application instruction and lively entertainment to create a productive and lasting relationship with our customers. Our business model dictates that we efficiently introduce our products to the greatest number of people in the shortest amount of time."

Models Prefer products are sold internationally through electronic retail industry leader QVC, Inc - which currently reaches over 100 million households worldwide. Stacey appears on-air for QVC USA, United Kingdom and Germany with her hair in rollers and no make up to inform the consumer about her products and application technique. Using herself as a live "model", Stacey takes consumers through an hour of easy-to-follow makeup instruction and product benefits. By the end of her show, Stacey's transformation is complete. This "Bare-to-Beautiful" approach cuts through the intimidation and confusion that oftentimes leaves consumers dissatisfied with cosmetic product selection.

Stacey grew up on a cattle ranch in Florida where, in 1982, she earned a Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Marketing and Retail on a full scholarship. While in New York, she also attended Parsons School of Design and New York University for Architecture and Columbia University of Broadcast Journalism.

During her 20 years of modeling Stacey worked the runways of New York, Paris, Milan and Rome for designers such as Yves St. Laurent, Versace, Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Valentino, Chanel, and Dior. Her pictures have appeared in magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Glamour, Marie Claire, and Harper's Bazaar. Stacey has adorned the covers of French Marie Claire, Italian Bazaar and German Vogue. She has appeared in concerts with Diana Ross and Liza Minelli as well as a Robert Palmer music video. Stacey has been a television guest on "Good Day New York," "Entertainment Tonight," "Look Who's Talking," "Oprah," "Donahue," "Sally Jesse Raphael," CNN and Fox Television.

Stacey's extensive experience as an international model inspires her to create innovative products and packaging that work for real women - prompting her to coin the term "Runway to Reality".

Stacey has become a beauty industry expert featured and quoted in numerous publications including: "COLOR STORIES Behind the Scenes of America's Billion-Dollar Beauty Industry", "The Essential Guide to Hair, Makeup & Skin Care" and "Hello Beautiful 365 Ways to be Even More Beautiful".

Stacey is on the board of directors of Fashion Group International, an active member of Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors, Cosmetic Executive Women, National Association of Women Business Owners and Color Design International Association. Models Prefer, Ltd., is a two-time winner of QVC's prestigious "Vendor of the Year" Award, named "Entrepreneur of the Year" by the trade group Independent Cosmetic Manufacturers and Distributors, and was winner of the 2004 Editor's Choice Award from CPC Magazine for packaging of the year. Stacey was honored as one of America's "Power Women" in the November 2002 issue of Ladies' Home Journal. In 2003, she was ranked 5th in the nation and 10th in the world in Women's Track & Field for High Jumping.

Models Prefer, Ltd. takes great pride in their social responsibility and community involvement by donating the equivalent of over five percent of the company's annual revenues to education, health and social causes.

Stacey resides in Connecticut with her husband, David Schieffelin who is a Harvard University graduate and prior to embracing the CEO role at Models Prefer, was Senior Vice President of Rupert Murdoch's company News Corporation. They are the proud parents of two makeup savvy daughters.
